5 weeks?

This week has been a bit weird. I've been feeling weird even though I haven't done anything so special. On Sunday I was at work; a nice day because there were enough of us. Otherwise this week has consisted of school stuff, as the only day at work is going to be tomorrow (a looooong day). I've had only one morning at school (yesterday, the last lesson of one course, yay), otherwise just afternoons. Weird. From this week forward I have free Wednesdays, that's weird too, as I'm used to having school every day from Mon to Fri. As I said, everything's weird. My feelings have also been weird, I don't know why.

One day I realized that I have only 5 weeks of school left. On one hand it feels relieving but on the other hand I got so stressed - every project must be finished by then? I'm supposed to have an internship contract by then (if I want to start at the beginning of January)? I'm supposed to know how I'm gonna go on with my job by then?? waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa STRESS!

Problem nr 1: My projects aren't even nearly ready.
Problem nr 2: I don't have an internship. I've sent applications but haven't got any sure answer yet.
Problem nr 3: I can't make the decision about continuing my job if I don't know about the internship.

I just hope that
a) my groups would DO THEIR JOB with the projects, because those projects are a bit too wide to do by myself...
b) One marketing manager would answer to me that it would be possible to do my internship at their company.
c) I would get the internship thing solved soon so that I would know what to say to my boss about continuing my contract.

So, 5 weeks? After all, nothing relieving about that.. Now I can't concentrate on writing anymore! Have to go to the school and try to get something done with one big project. If anyone of my group even turns up...

I wish!

maple leaves :-)

Even though I love summer&sun and hate coldness, I've found the beauty of the fall again. But I know it doesn't last long, it's not more than a few weeks when the colors are numerous and the fall is at its best. Rain is not always so bad either (except for yesterday, or if it lasts many days in a row..). After those weeks the weather just gets too cold, trees loose their leaves and it's not beautiful anymore.

Maple leaves - one of my favorite things during the fall!
My life is filled with school work and work right now. I've also had a few health problems to worry about - teeth and skin - but I hope it's gonna be okay as I got my teeth fixed (at least for now..) and I got antibiotics for my skin.

And of course I have to mention one big thing - I'm getting older in a few days! My birthday is on Sunday, and I'm turning 21 then. 21 long years since I was born! I'm probably gonna celebrate a bit tomorrow with friends, and on Sunday with my relatives. By chance I got a free weekend from work (well, "free" or "a day-off" doesn't mean anything nowadays as all the extra time has to be spent for school reports and projects etc..) so I have time to enjoy my birthday at least a bit. AND I already got a present from J - here you can see it:

So, as you can see, I finally got my One Piece! I'm completely in love with it, it's so comfortable. Happy me!

Next week is going to be busy busy busy! A lot of stuff to do and stress to deal with, but first I'm going to enjoy this weekend and my birthday. Have a nice weekend! :-)

Why is it never this beautiful later in the fall??

PS! On Tuesday E took me to the stable with her! She has found a gorgeous, big horse called Faros, to lease. They were a very nice couple and worked well together :)

random stuff + nervousness!

(written yesterday, I just didn't get it published)
Just to avoid school work (French oral exam tomorrow - I'm gonna die), I came to tell some random things. Just to ramble something.

Firstly, it's weird how Spanish (and some other foreigners too) find it sooooo weird that I live on my own in Finland. For them it just doesn't make sense that I'm only 20 years old and I live alone. I always have to explain that no, I don't mean I have an own room, and no, I don't mean that I live in a student dormitory / residence because of school, and no, I don't mean that I share an apartment with my friends - I seriously mean that I live on my own, in my own (rental) apartment, only me living there. Usually that's enough of explaining, then they just look at me a bit weirdly. They can't see why people move out of their parents' apartments so early. One day I had this conversation going on again, with a Spanish guy. In addition to these basic questions and explanations, he asked "but who cleans up there?" and "but who cooks?" :D He just couldn't imagine that I would do also that kind of things by myself. hahah the astonishment on his face when I was like "ehhh... me?". And when it came to the fact that I also have a job and I also work along with the studying, that was far too much for him to handle :D "what! why!!"

So yes, foreigners, just to clarify that at least in Finland (a) it's quite common to live on your own at the age of 20, (b) if you live in your own apartment, you cook and clean up by yourself (no housekeepers or personal chefs, at least if you're not rich & lazy :D), (c) we do have domestic education at school (during the junior high school - basic education about housekeeping skills and knowledge, including cooking), (d) almost every student (at least at the university / academic level) is working along with the studies, just to earn some money for living (even though we also get some student allowance, of course).

Another thing I wanted to tell about is HOW IRRITATING IT IS THAT SOME TV PROGRAMS FINISH THEIR SEASONS WITH TERRIBLE HAPPENINGS AND THE WATCHERS ARE TORTURED TO WAIT FOR THE NEXT SEASON THAT IT NOT COMING OUT IN A WHILE. I'm sure that many of you agree with me on this one. And in this case, I'm talking about Grey's Anatomy - they have made it too many times. I shouldn't watch season final episodes before the next season has already started because I can't handle the waiting. On Friday I watched the season 8 final (that came out in the U.S. on Thursday, in Finland it's gonna come out in a month or so) and _they_did_it_again_. I warn you, be prepared if you're a GA watcher and you think you've already seen it all during the 8 seasons. You haven't. And now there are too many months to wait.......

 (written today)
As you can see, I was quite bored with the school stuff yesterday. I went out for a while just to clear my mind. I went to "Jardin de Ayora", a little park I had passed by a few times when cycling to a shopping center - every time I passed it I thought that I have to go there one day, so yesterday I did it. There were a lot of older people spending their Sunday :) The sun was shining when I went there - but just out of nowhere, the sky looked like this:

So I decided to go back home. The thunderstorm came but it took only 20 minutes or so, and then the weather was sunny again. wtf :D Later I got so stressed about everything that I though I was gonna blow up.

Today I've been just nervous because of the French oral exam. And I still am, I can't concentrate on anything right now. Me and my partner's exam is at 7pm, and we'll meet at the university at 6pm, so soon I have to get going..! Please, fingers crossed that everything goes well. I will probably come and update something after the exam - if I'm capable to do that and not too angry or disappointed etc because of not passing.....
I will pass it! I WILL!

edit 19.45: WELL PASSED! i'm soooo relieved!!

Mother's Day

First of all, happy Mother's Day to all the mothers - your "job" may be the most important in the world, don't forget that :-) And that's why you're more than allowed to enjoy this day, this is only for you!

According to the Internet, the water is around +17 degrees, and yes, I went there and it WAS warm!

For me, this day hasn't been special in any way. I thought I would spend all the weekend on the beach, and yes, I was there yesterday, but as I - surprise surprise - managed to get my nose sunburned (it hurts!), I didn't go there today because I seriously couldn't expose my face (mainly nose) to the sun anymore.. So now I'm just waiting for the lovely moment when my skin starts to peel off from my nose.. f*ck. So today, just cleaning and school work for me (at least that was the intention, now that I think about it I feel like I haven't got anything done).

the temperature was over +30 degrees. No wonder why the beach was filled with people!
I also saw CLOUDS when I left. Haven't seen them in a while.

A few facts have hit me quite hard lately. The first one is that there are two weeks of actual school left. Yay for that, but also booooo for that because it means that there are many tasks and projects to be finished. Stress! After these two weeks, it's time for exams (I already feel the anxiety and the whole new level of stress coming).

Another fact is that UEFA EURO 2012 is getting closer, day by day (26 days left)! I've already spotted some fan stuff in the stores, such as Spanish flags, caps, horns, scarfs, bags.. I haven't yet decided which items I will buy ;-) Luckily I'll have almost all of my exams before the opening kick off so then I can fully concentrate on the matches! Unfortunately I'm not staying here long enough to witness the victory of Spain, but I'm sure I can celebrate it in Finland too :-)

The third fact is that my return to Finland is also getting closer, day by day. I don't know what to think about it. Okay, I can't even tell you how much I wait to see all the people I'm missing so much, but at the same time I'm distressed because I don't feel that I'm ready to leave quite yet. Am I gonna be ready in five weeks? I don't know, but then it's time to go. Ready or not. That's confusing.. Five weeks?

ideas...?

I'm sorry I haven't posted anything for a while. And I'm quite sure that it will be like that for the whole month.. I'm so stressed about everything, all the school works and assignments are accumulated 'til the end of the semester = this month, and the exams are coming. I'm distressed and I don't know how I'm gonna manage with all that stuff... ajidewoöidf my head is gonna blow up at some point.

And I don't think you are interested in reading about my stress, so that's why it's gonna be quite quiet in here. If I don't come up with anything else to write about, I won't write at all because I don't want to feel like I'm forced to write posts. If you have some ideas you want me to write about / you want to know about / you want to see pictures of, just tell me, ideas are always welcome. Of course I would like to keep this blog alive, but in order to do so, I need some creative help to find out something to write about.

PS. 32 days to go -> UEFA EURO 2012, go Spain!!
PPS. 43 days left in Spain ... :o wtf!
