Day 05

Day 05 – A picture + 5 facts about a special person in your life

My dad.

From my confirmation - even though I hate this photo on my behalf, I still appreciate this so much because this is the only photo I have of the two of us. I also have it framed.
1. I lost him just after I turned 15.
2. He was the strongest person I know.
3. I was a daddy's girl, completely.
4. He would be 58 years old now.
5. Our names start with the same letter.

Day 04 + update

Day 04 – Your idea of the perfect first date

Depends on how well I know the other person. But let’s expect I know him somehow, we have met before and talked but never just the two of us.

Well, I may be a bit old-fashioned but I consider going to the movies as a good date. Some people say that it’s boring because you can’t communicate with each other then, but I don’t see it that way. There’s the time before the movie – and after the movie. It’s just good that there’s some time to just be with each other, without talking, but still doing something together. There, it’s possible to hold each other’s hand without a reason and there, you can have your first (or second or whatever) kiss without the awkward silence after it – there you’re supposed to be quiet. It’s dark in there but you can still see each other if you want.
Well a perfect first date would also include a flower, but it depends how well the date knows you (if he doesn’t almost at all, he probably buys a flower you don’t even like). Going to a good restaurant is also good, but sometimes it’s hard to decide the place if you don’t know which kind of restaurant or food the other one likes.

But yes, I’m quite classic with the dating issues – movie is good as a first date. After that, when you know each other better, you can come up with something specific or different.

I also want to update what's going on.Well I've been at work today and yesterday, today was more like Monday because everything seemed to go... not well. But this weekend I've realized how nice work colleagues I have, how well I've got adjusted to my job and that I wouldn't want to totally leave that job even though I would start an internship in the spring. But that depends on the place of the internship, I'll figure out what to do when I know more..

I'm also a bit nervous considering the upcoming week. Tomorrow we are gonna interview one professional marketer in a famous advertisement office to get a review of our project... It's exciting to go and visit the place but I'm afraid they're gonna sneer at our project and consider it pathetic :D but tomorrow is not as bad as Tuesday, when I'm going to have an internship interview...! I'm more than nervous..How can I convince them that I'm worth being recruited? Well, wish me luck. On Wed we're going to have another interview with another group and so on. The whole week is full of school stuff. And on Sat I'm going to work.

Have a nice week!

Day 03

Day 03 - What you think about your friends

When I was younger, I always had to have one best friend, the one that is absolutely the best one, the most important and the closest one. I always had a lot of friends but the close ones were not so many. Nowadays my friend circles consist mainly of friends from the stables, friends from my current school Laurea, friends from work and friends from the high school. And of course I will never forget the friends I got in Valencia! I don't have a very best friend, but I have a few close ones that I fully count on. And, in addition, I have J, who knows more about my life than anybody else.

I love my friends as they are. They don’t judge, they don’t make me do anything. They listen and they’re there for me. I don’t have a best friend but I have several very close ones. There are two things I would like to change considering my friendships. Nr 1; there are a few persons that have been very very important to me but nowadays the situation is totally different, with each one of them, we have been drawn apart. I would like to fix that fact because I know that there has been a reason why they have been so important to me, but unfortunately I think that this fact can't be totally fixed - life goes on and relationships change. Nr 2; I feel quite bad that I don’t see many of my friends so often.. actually very bad. I should do something about it, but when I’m stressed, I can’t think about free time and friends. It’s sad but it’s true.

Luckily true friends go nowhere even though you don’t see them often.

Day 02 ??

This one was missing from the list so I’m free to decide a topic for this day, the day nr. 2. So… let the topic be MY HOBBIES. I know I’m creative..

During my life I’ve tried quite a many sports and hobbies so far. My very first hobby was ballet (how come I’m still not a good dancer?!), and next, there were gymnastics (telinevoimistelu), visual arts school and tennis.

Then a new girl came to our class and took me to the stables and I was sold. That was the one thing I wanted. My dad must have seen that my desire was stronger than before as he actually went to the stables and booked riding lessons for me. I was more than happy, and it lasted for many years. I have to say I don’t know where I would be right now if I hadn’t started riding and hanging around in the stables. I got my most long-term friends from there. I found a sport I like. I learned to trust in myself and believe in myself. I had the feeling that I was good at something (haha well not always..). Those years were maybe some of the happiest years of my life so far. I went to the same stable for six years, I had a care horse, and there were times I went to the stable every day in a week.

After that time I had a rent (?) pony for half an year, then it was time for a pause. During that pause I started playing football and I went on with that hobby for a few years. Then there was a pause from everything, after which I continued riding, at a different stable than before (in the stable I already knew as I had been there at summer camps a few times). I had riding lessons for a year after which I had another rent(?) pony, at the same stable as the previous one was. I rented her almost an year ‘til I didn’t have time anymore. I had a pause. Then, last fall, I went back to the riding lessons, but I stopped at New Year’s as I moved to Spain. So, since New Years’ I’ve had a pause from riding again, and I miss it, a lot. At the moment I have no money for lessons (student budget) but I hope I can continue at some point.

So, it's not hard to guess which one has been the most important hobby for me? As I said in the yesterday’s post, I can’t say I would like sports, but riding is the only sport I like. It’s an exception.

Btw, off the topic - the world is insane. People are insane. I just cannot understand. This kind of things don't happen in Finland. A candle is lighted..

Day 01

Day 01 – A picture of you and 15 interesting facts about yourself
  1.  I moved to my first own apartment just a bit after I turned 18
  2.  I like to spend time alone and I need my own space and time
  3.  My favorite TV program is Grey’s Anatomy (and sometimes I consider the persons as real persons..)
  4.  I consider my home cosy when it’s a bit messy (but not too messy as it usually is..)
  5.  My both parents have already passed away
  6.  I can’t say I like sports
  7. Less than two years ago I was so afraid of committing that I thought I would never commit into a relationship – and here I am, we just had a one-year anniversary with J
  8. I’m not sure if I’m ever going to visit the USA because...
  9. ...I’m afraid of airplanes. And boats. The sea is the most frightening thing there – flying above countries is not nearly as frightening as flying above the sea
  10. I’ve lived my whole life in the same city (if not taking into account my exchange period)
  11. I don’t have a best best friend
  12. I’m a Pepsi Max –addict
  13. I like traveling by bus; unluckily I fell asleep easily there
  14. Until this fall I thought I hate every kind of tea. This fall I’ve been trying to taste many different teas and I’ve found a few very good ones
  15. I’m more a cat-person than a dog-person

God it's hard to find some "interesting" facts about myself :D and then the picture...

that was the last time we went out in Valencia.
