Tallinnassa pt.1!

Hotellihan on nimeltään Kreutzwald Hotel Tallinn, sijaitsee satamasta katottuna Vanhan Kaupungin toisella puolella, lähellä Kristiine ostoskeskusta. Tyyppi vaa totes että "Yes, easy to remember, and better one". Oltiin et ookoo, no katotaas. Vitoskerrokseen mars ja huoneen oven avatessa meille näkyi eteinen, sohva, pöytä ja tietokonepöytä. Oltiin saavuttu Zen Sviittiin. Ohessa lappu "Dear Ms Tytti, please accept this bottle of sparkling wine for the misunderstanding at the check-in" ja johtajan signeeraukset. Jep :D

Kattellaan.

Tässä vielä haasteen jatkoa.

Day 18 – One moment

Day 19 – Something you’re proud of in the past few days

Day 20 – Something you’re currently worrying about
Aika paljon mua on mietityttäny ens kevät - harkkajutut, työjutut ja opparijutut. Mut niiden sujumisen näkee sitte.. Lisäks ensin pitää selvitä ens viikonlopusta, jollon töissä tulee varmasti olemaan aika hulina. Hmm.

decorating home + challenge

Even though I have a lot of school stuff going on, I've still found some time to think about my apartment. After I got the red sofa I told about in my previous post, I've been a bit obsessed with getting my apartment into a nice condition. On Tuesday we went to Ikea with J (I've been wanting to go there for sooo long!) and today I went to Anttila as I got their advertisement leaflet and I found so many interesting little things from there. From Ikea I didn't buy anything big but many many small things instead. Mainly red and white. Candles candles candles! The ambiance in Ikea was so good, not too many people and you could tell that Christmas is coming. I may need to go there again, still before Christmas... From Anttila I just bought one hanging candle holder, i love it :-) I haven't been such a Christmas person before, but this year I feel like buying all kinds of Christmas stuff already! And I love scented candles, especially vanilla and ginger bread scented!

on my door already!

Toffee tea I bought today, it was quite good :-)

i think it's pretty :-) I may have to buy another one of those..

And by the way; because I'm afraid I'm just gonna write some stress posts about all the projects and stuff OR I'm not gonna write at all, I decided to accept a challenge that I found from a few blogs. It goes like this:

Day 10 – A TV show you’re currently addicted to
Day 11 – What kind of person attracts you?
Day 12 – Something you’re scared of
Day 13 – Why do you write a blog?
Day 14 – A song to match your mood
Day 15 – A picture of something you want to do before you die and why
Day 16 – A photo of the item you last purchased
Day 17 – Something that you miss
Day 18 – One moment
Day 19 – Something you’re proud of in the past few days
Day 20 – Something you’re currently worrying about

the beginning of a new, rainy week

No school today and I still had to wake up at 7 o'clock... because of the dentist. I went there, I had a check up and I was out. useless.... but maybe the first time I got to leave without any further actions. She just said that I should book an appointment at the beginning of 2014. Fine by me! Btw, the weather is soooo depressing. When I left at 8am, it was so dark and rainy and cold and... ugly :(

So I came back home after 9 o'clock and now I'm thinking whether to go back to bed or not... maybe for a little while. or maybe I'll take a nap a bit later. I have an evening shift at work so.. Tomorrow I'll have a lecture in the morning and also an evening shift, on Wed - school, on Thu - school, on Fri - school, on Sat - work. Sunday = free!

Last week I was at school every day and at work on Saturday. After work, we went to the movies with J, after a long time! We went to see Savages (Raakalaiset) which was about drug dealing business and stuff. Not an easy movie but it was quite ok!

By the way, now that I bought the mini laptop, I guess it's finally time to give my MacBook to J's friend for reparation.. I know I'm gonna feel empty without my Mac! I got it over 3 years ago so it's not easy to give it away, even for a while. I hope the reparation is not gonna take many days. And I hope it's in a better condition when I get it back. Lately it has been very slow and overheated easily so it needs some fixing. I actually moved all my files to an external hard drive and then I deleted everything from the mac (more than 15 000 files.. I seriously hope that the external hard drive won't get broken!), so now it's ready for reparation.

And PS. even though I promised I wouldn't buy anything after the mini laptop, I still NEEDED to go to Hullut Päivät on Sunday (the last day of sales) and I bought a scarf, mittens, facial wash and candies... whoops. But from this day forward, I'm not allowed to buy anything unnecessary!

Ok, now I start doing school stuff (again..). Have a great week!

blah studying blaaaahh

a summary of two books (about CRM, 4 pages) - returned
an assignment about functional foodstuff (6 pages) - returned
an article about fast food trend in English (4 pages) - returned
an essay about organizing festivals (9 pages) - returned
a project plan for the neuromarketing project & powerpoint presentation - returned

oh god im getting crazy with all the school stuff..! but it feels so good when you get something returned... for example; we have been aware of the essay assignment since the beginning of September (but of course i couldn't get it done before). it has been in my mind since then but i haven't had time to do it as i've had so many other things to do. today was the deadline day. i've been working a lot on that essay since Monday and today I finally got it returned - an hour before it was too late. i feel so relieved!

Yesterday it was time for this fall's Hullut Päivät, 5 days of sales in Stockmann (every spring and fall). I came home from HP with three bags even though I wasn't supposed to buy anything special.... it's always the same! Today I went there again but I only bought headphones that I have been meaning to buy for many months. I still have a few things I have to go and buy...... bye bye salary..!

For the weekend I have two assignments to do. This week I go to work only on Saturday, next week I have three days of work again.. well well. luckily two of my courses finish at the beginning of November, so then I'll probably have at least some free time? what does it mean? free time?!

okay. big brother time and then a bit of school stuff and then to bed. see you!

start of a new week

Hey!

my new friend!

My weekend consisted of nothing so special. On Friday I came home from work at 8pm and went back there 7.30am on Saturday. I had a looong day and after that I still stayed at the shopping center because I met N, my friend who is going to Peru for exchange. They're leaving on Wednesday so this was the last time I saw her :( This fall is going to be weird at school without them but I hope they will have a wonderful exchange experience there. I wish them so much luck with everything!

one morning when I was going to work at 7.30am

Yesterday (Sunday) I didn't feel good at all at first, but when the feeling got better I went to visit another shopping center. I bought two towels (so that J doesn't have to use the pink one anymore..), a floor dyer tool (which can also be used to wipe out the dust, useful, I don't have to hoover so often anymore!), a movie (Hangover II, haven't seen :D), shorts and one top. I think that quite well in less than two hours (and I was supposed to save money...). I still went to a grocery store before going home. A bit later J came here, we ate pizza and watched Angels and Demons. I had read the book and also seen the movie before but J hadn't.

one evening when I was leaving from work:D

Now it's 9.40 on Monday morning, I should get ready now because I have to leave for work in less than an hour. I have a long day ahead of me. Tomorrow I'm going to a hairdresser, finally! Then I have an evening shift. On Wednesday I have a long morning shift, then I only have to pack up for our Oulu-trip. Our flight leaves at 13.45 on Thursday.

Finnish summer weather......

Have a great week, bye!

Barcelona day 2

My second day in Barcelona (Monday June 18th). Weather: quite perfect. Tanning, swimming in the hotel pool - Glòries shopping center - Diagonal Mar shopping center - football.

Too much money spent but, whatever, it was the last chance for shopping in Spain!

Barcelona - a city that never sleeps

How nice is it that the city isn't dead even though it's Sunday? During the spring I had a serious problem with Sundays because there were nothing to do. But in Barcelona? There's too much to do even on Sunday! So, I can't say that yesterday would have been boring in any way :-)

First I took a metro from Clot station to Placa Catalunya. The weather was perfect, and now that I've been here in the springtime, in the fall time and in the summertime, I can definitely say that this city is at its best during the summer. Las Ramblas looked amazing. And it was filled with people (once again - even on Sunday!). There were a lot of little stands and tents that sold jewelry, bags, accessories, clothes.... everything. And there were also those artists who drew portraits of people. And of course street artists, including one that I remembered from my last time (March) :-) familiar!

I felt so good to be in Barcelona again that I just walked there on Las Ramblas with a stupid smile on my face. I also bought Kinder -flavor ice cream, that's something I can't get anymore in Finland :( I went to the port and I visited the Maremagnum shopping center as it is the only shopping center that is open on Sundays. When going back towards Placa Catalunya I also found myself on the nearby streets, for example I was at the Placa Reial where I hadn't been before. Always something new in Barcelona! Also, I hadn't realized that the (gothic) Cathedral is so close to Las Ramblas. I took a metro back to Clot station from Placa Catalunya.

It was already 6pm but I still wanted to test the hotel's pool. Unfortunately the sunshine didn't reach that area anymore because it's somehow between two buildings. But it was still warm and I wanted to test the pool (which was smaller than I had thought). The water was warm, but I wasn't there for long.

In the evening I still left the hotel to find a market. I knew from Valencia that OpenCors are open on Sunday and they have quite a large variety of everything so I decided to find one. I checked from Google Maps and there were one close to Sagrada Familia, so not far from my hotel. So, I also got to see Sagrada Familia once again. it was beautiful in the evening sun. I found the OpenCor, bought food, pepsi, ice tea, and candies, so I was happy. Later I watched the Portugal - Netherlands football match. Too bad that there are two matches coming at the same time these days! I would have wanted to see the Denmark - Germany match also... It was shown on another channel so I tried to watch them both but it was hard. Today there's the same problem, of course I'm gonna watch the Spanish match (against Croatia) but I would also like to see the other - Italy vs Ireland match. Hmh.

<3
Today I don't know what to start with. I think I'm gonna visit Mercadona first, then I'm gonna go to the pool for a while and then I'm gonna take an intense shopping tour (last chance to do the shopping in Spain!). I might also meet a friend for a coffee. Today's shopping destinations are Glories shopping center and Diagonal Mar shopping center (there's Primark!). So, I should get going. ¡Hasta luego!

windy Málaga, pictures part III

A lot of pictures this time, be prepared. Some of them are taken by J, some of them by me.
Yesterday was a rainy day, we went to a shopping street and visited Picasso museum (for those who didn't know - Picasso was born here in Málaga). I'm not that into art and culture but I liked the museum, it was interesting and definitely worth visiting (O, are you proud of me??).

Today we went to Alcazaba of Málaga. It was a lot like Granada's Alhambra, just smaller.
There's just one thing that I'd like to know - is it always this windy in Málaga?! Everyday (except for yesterday when it was raining) it's been windy as h*ll, which makes the weather feel colder than it actually is without the wind. Irritating.
