Jaén & Granada!

Hola!!

Yep, I'm still alive. At the moment, I'm at the reception/common area of a hostel in Granada. I don't have much time, but I'm still gonna tell you about the last two days quickly. Pictures will come later, as I don't have the cord with me so that I could plug my camera to the computer.

On Wednesday night, we got into three buses at 3am. There are a lot of us, as all the three buses got full. I tried to sleep before we left, but I couldn't so was quite tired when we left. Luckily I was able to sleep in the bus - at least some hours. The first stop was after 2,5 hours at a service station (like Finnish ABC). Then back to buses -> 3 hours driving -> next stop. I didn't get out of the bus, I was too tired. Then there were only 40 minutes left 'til we arrived to the Castle of Santa Catalina (click it). We were at the level of the clouds. So beautiful view from there! I liked the place. We spent maybe a few hours(??) there and got back into buses. Then we went to see Jaén Cathedral (click it). We also went around the city, went to eat and spent some time on the stairs of the Cathedral, tanning :-D it was so warm! In the afternoon the buses left Jaén, with the destination: Granada.

It took about 2 hours to drive to Granada. It was soooo hot in the bus (I know Ksenia will not forget that one :-D). Our group was separated into three different hostels. Well, the first thought of the hotel was... not good. at all. I was tired and all the things just felt bad. I almost cried when I saw the hostel. I have never been in one, so I don't have any experience of them. Our room (for two persons) is just so cheerless, small and just... blah. And it was said that there is a free, wireless internet access. I went to ask the username etc and well, I got them, but the reception girl said immediately that the internet connection is weak in the rooms (it doesn't work, at all) so you can only use it in the common area (one sofa behind the reception desk). nice.

Wednesday night also included searching for a market (for an hour, there are everything else in the city center, but no markets selling basic products and food?!), my phone dying (at least now it works again, but you can never be sure..), some drinking at the other hostel and some people went to see flamenco show and so on.

Surprisingly, I slept well in the hostel, against all odds. Today has been active. at least for me, you know how lazy I am. We went to see the Alhambra (click it) and we walked A LOT. The place was beautiful and great. I'm happy I went there. We spent there many hours and then we came back to the city center and went to eat. I had probably the best meal during my time in Spain! So good. I don't know how to say it in English but it was chicken (suomeksi: varras, jossa oli grillattua broileria ja vihanneksia, varras roikku semmosen koukun avulla lautasen päällä, ja lautasella vielä perunaa ja vihanneksia). I was so full after that but feeling so good. We went straight to shopping with Emmi and Nina. so many good clothes stores in here.... I love Granada! I came to the hostel just like half an hour ago and now I have less than an hour to change clothes and get ready as we are going to have a "botellon" (everyone brings own bottles and then we just drink) at another hostel, and then we are gonna go to a nightclub.

Tomorrow we have to be ready at 11am. Then it's time to get into buses again with the destination: Sevilla.
¡Hasta luegoooo!
